The Junior Aid Society's 2nd Annual Beach to Beach 5K Run was held on Sunday, May 17, 2009 and it was a great success.
The Beach to Beach 5K Run was timed by North Shore Timing with racers numbers being provided by Runner's World. The first 150 registered participants received a 2009 Beach to Beach t-shirt.
The starting and finishing line was at Devereux Beach in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The race course took participants south along Atlantic Avenue to Preston Beach and then looped back heading north to Devereux. There were water stations along the route sponsored by Fastenal and pre and post race stretching was provided by Seaport Chiropractic. All children who participated in The Beach to Beach received a medal and trophies were awarded to placed runners in a number of different categories.
